I am using Windows 10 and just downloaded and tried to install Acronis True Image 2011 because I have a license for it.
But when trying to run the install I get the message that the app doesn't work in Windows 10.
Any one have any suggestions??? Or do I just have to buy a newer version???
Thanks in advance for any opinions,
danny
Acronis is advertising you need 2015 or newer for Windows 10 support.
2016 due out in the near future if history repeats.
Why doesn't Acronis just send an update for version 2011 to work in Windows 10.
It's not that old of a program, and I paid good money for it.
Can I get Acronis 2015 or 2016 and use my 2011 CD code???
Or is it all about money, like most things!!!
Who knows! I'm justg another user like you. Realtek usb audio driver.
Your 2011 version can be used to 'upgrade' to a new version.
The upgrade has all the featres but with a reduced price. When installing a new upgrade, you would need to have both the old and new serials handy for input. /cache-cleaner-for-mac-yosemite.html.
If it were me, I would uninstall 2011 with the cleanup utility before installing any new version.
There is a world of difference between 2011 and the current builds.
You will not recognize the new as being a blood relative to 2011 as none of the features are the same.
All the new versons have a trial version if you wish to try first. 30 day trial.
A new purchase has free support for the first 30 days --just like the other versions.

After reading the above, I assume an update for the 2011 program to fit wqith the Windows 10 mis not availble and the onlyu alterntive is to pujrchase the newer Acronis program. (2016). Does that make my 2o11 progtram obselete and useless?
Douglas.
Your version of TI 2011 is obsolete but not useless. If you desire to upgrade to Windows 10 by July 29 then you will need to update to TI 2016. Keep your bootable rescue media from TI 2011 in case you are not successful with the upgrade. You will be able to restore your previous OS using the TI 2011 bootable media. I recommend that you make a full disk backup using TI 2011 from the bootbale media prior to upgrading to Windows 10.
Unfortunely, I accidently installed the free Windows 10 upgrade only to find that I got a message telling me that Acronis True Image 11 was not compatible when I attempted to load it to create a System Backup. Is there anyway that I can recover my backups from Acronis or will I have to restore back to Windows 7 and reinstall Acronis True Image 11?

Only ATIH 2015 or later are supported for use with Windows 10 as a running application on that OS.
If you have backups that you made with ATIH 11.0 then these can still be recovered by using the Acronis bootable Rescue Media for ATIH 11.0 - if you registered ATIH 11.0 with Acronis then you should be able to sign in to your Acronis account and download an ISO (CD image file) for the Rescue Media and then burn this to CD.
